LNG insufcient to meet IMO 2030 targets: K Line

A transition from traditional marine fuels to LNG will not be sufcient to meet IMO 2030 carbon emissions reduction targets, Japanese shipping frm K Line’s chief executive, Yukikazu Myochin, said this month. K Line will seek to utilise additional fuelling technologies, such as wind power, Myochin said, terming the strategy “LNG+”. And the company will continue to research fuels such as ammonia and hydrogen.
