Western Australia sets up LNG task force

The Western Australia (WA) state government plans to establish a jobs task force for the LNG industry that will focus on harnessing employment opportunities in the LNG sector for technology, education and maintenance services. WA accounts for the largest share of Australia's LNG shipments with the 16.3mn t/yr North West Shelf, the 4.3mn t/yr Pluto, the 15.6mn t/yr Gorgon and the 8.9mn t/yr Wheatstone LNG ventures. Wheatstone is expected to see shipments from its second train start before mid-2018.
