Australia and East Timor make progress on Sunrise

Australia and East Timor have reached an agreement on revenue sharing for the 5.1 trillion ft3 (145bn m3) Sunrise natural gas field in the Timor Sea, in a possible step towards agreeing an LNG project. The countries will establish a special regime for the Greater Sunrise area and have agreed the field’s legal status.
