US launches far-reaching bid to hike exports

The US administration is joining forces with domestic developers of LNG export terminals to advocate natural gas consumption in emerging economies, with a particular focus on Asia-Pacific. US trade promotion agency the TDA will use its expertise to support the development of gas-related infrastructure in countries that have an LNG import complex or are considering building one, director Thomas Hardy says. “The future growth of the US oil and natural gas industry depends on what happens in emerging markets,” lobby group LNG Allies’ executive director, Fred Hutchinson, says. “We are demand constrained, not supply constrained.”
