Cooper wins Otway Basin block

Cooper Energy has bagged exploration permit VIC/P76, which lies near to its recent Annie gas discovery in the Otway Basin offshore Victoria, Australia. VIC/P76 covers an area of 162sq km at water depths ranging from 60m (197ft) to 70m (230ft). The permit is surrounded by the recently depleted Minerva gas field to the east and the producing Casino, Henry and Netherby gas fields to the west, Cooper said.
