Vitino port appeals for state aid

The Russian government may fund construction of a tank farm at the far north White Sea port of Vitino to support an attempt to resume oil loadings,which have been suspended since 2014.The project is one four that meet criteria for state support and should be reviewed by a state commission on Arctic development this month,the ministry for development of the far east and Arctic regions says.Financial support will cover up to a tenth of overall costs,the ministry says.Minister Alexander Kozlov has discussed the plans for Vitino with Murmansk regional governor Andrey Chibis.
