Pointe-a-Pierre sold to Patriotic group

Trinidad and Tobago is to sell its mothballed 165,000 b/d Pointe-a-Pierre refnery to a company part-owned by the country’s oil workers union OWTU. Finance minister Colm Imbert on 20 September confrmed the $700mn sale to Patriotic Energies and Technologies, a frm created by OWTU in December to acquire the facility and reopen it.
