The spot price of Vietnam’s seaborne industrial wood pellets rose to a two-year high as supply limitations persisted following floods in the country’s central and southern regions last month. The spot price for cargoes loading within the next 90 days gained $2.33/t to $124/t fob Vietnam, alongside fresh demand from Kospo. Kospo today issued a tender seeking 12,000t of biomass pellets with a minimum net calorific value (NCV) of 3,960kcal/kg for first quarter co-firing at its Hadong thermal power plant.
