Us sanctions force shipowner into bankruptcy

Italian shipowner PB Tankers has fled for bankruptcy protec- tion after being sanctioned by the US in April for its involve- ment in Venezuelan oil trade. The company is working to be removed from the US De- partment of Foreign Assets Control (Ofac) sanctions list, but in the meantime is seeking "hopefully temporary" relief to restructure its debt.
