Hand-held scanner for non-destructive testing of aircraft structures

A portable scanner designed for inspecting small areas of composites in aircraft has been launched by Phoenix Inspection Systems of Warrington, UK. The scanner - called SWIPE - was created with the aerospace industry in mind and is suitable for use in maintenance and repair operations.
