Should I File or Not?

Tax time is coming up. Every year, many hobbyist and sideline beekeepers debate whether they should file their beekeeping income or not. There are many arguments against. It is small beer money compared with my other income. Never have filed before, so why should I file now? I lost money, so it is not necessary to file. It is only a hobby and therefore it isn't required. Filing now would set off a red flag. I give most of my honey away, and the few sales are insignificant. It's under-the-table income, so why open a can of worms? Nobody cares if I file or not. Filing my bee activity would double what I pay for tax preparation.
