Bonga SWA technical preference talk strengthens

While Shell has yet to open commercial tenders for the Bonga Southwest Aparo (BSWA) project off Nigeria, stronger rumours are appearing about preferred technical tenders amidst speculation that the project might be overtaken by Bonga North. For the FPSO, Samsung has long been seen as the company to beat although there is still yard uncertainty and the Monobuoy CIMC/Kavin Engineering/Wood Group is also in good stead. There have been continual rumours that Saipem was only ever lukewarm on this tender and there is renewed speculation it may have pulled out of the FPSO altogether.
