Shell increases its Africa pace with Kosmos partnership

Shell and Kosmos have formed a partnership to explore off Southwest Africa with the former entering Sao Tome & Principe (STP) and the latter Namibia. The US independent already has an alliance with BP in the Transform Margin in Northwest Africa and also in two blocks off STP. Shell has been backward in adding to its existing heartland of Nigeria off Africa although it has recently taken acreage off Mauritania and Namibia.
