An Italian court found Saipem and a former boss guilty of corruption in Algeria but acquitted Eni. Milan judges sentenced Saipem former chief executive Piet-ro Tali to four years and nine months in prison and seized US $231m from the company with a fine of $465,000. The court also acquitted Eni, its former boss Paolo Scaroni and its current upstream head Antonio Vella.
