Madagascar adds itself to licensing round list

Madagascar will open its delayed licensing round next month. The Office of National Mines and Strategic Industries had initially planned to open a 40 block round in 2016 but this was delayed due to the lack of interest in frontier acreage at the time. The country's only development is the heavy oil Tsimiroro field which has an estimated 1.7 Bn bbl of oil in place.
