Tenoil launches Nigeria shallow project

Tenoil has started to contact companies about the development of the Ata field off Nigeria. The Heirs Holdings subsidiary took over OPL 2008 in 2011. The block contains the Ata field in around 49ft (15m) of water. The field was originally discovered in 1964 by ExxonMobil in its neighbouring OML 68. It is believed to straddle both blocks in the Eastern Niger Delta and the US supermajor has agreed that Tenoil will operate any development.
