Shell has contracted a drillship off Nigeria for another year. The contract for the Valaris DS-4 was due to finish in March but Shell has decided to use the second of five one year options and has extended the contract until March 2021. The rig operator has also just received US $200m in cash relating to the losses in connection with the DS-5 drilling agreement with Petrobras.
