Contractors submitted interest earlier this week for Eni's drilling campaign in the Angoche Basin off Mozambique which is due to start in early 2021.The company won Block A5-A in the basin in 2015 and earlier this year invited expressions of interest for one firm well to spud in the first quarter of 2020 with options for another two.Eni is committed to drilling three wells in the block.However,Eni has now invited the expressions of interest for similar drilling in early 2021.ExxonMobil won the neighbouring A5-B block and Blocks Z5-C and Z5-D in the Zambezi Basin in the same round in a partnership with Rosneft.The pair have since been joined by Eni and Qatar Petroleum.There is a commitment to two wells in the Angoche Basin acreage and to a total of three wells in the Zambezi Basin.
