Lung Cancer Recurrence: F-18-FDG PET/CT in Clinical Practice

OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to summarize the clinical utility of F-18-FDG PEPCT in the evaluation of lung cancer recurrence with an emphasis on typical anatomic and metabolic patterns of recurrence, expected posttherapeutic changes, and common pitfalls of FDG PET/CT FIX; PET/CT is useful in assessing therapeutic response and in determining the extent of recurrent disease and provides a guide for targeted biopsy.
