The Effect of Information Search Use on the Class of Oral Health Education and Practice

In the class of oral health education and practice, a video and educational medium based on multimedia were made through cooperative learning, and direct-visit oral health education and fluoride application were performed through rehearsal. The students, the new media generation, freelyand creatively used a variety of media and information so that both educators and learners had win–win effects. Oral health education is a difficult subject. Through cooperative learning, learners were able to make an educational medium directly, and, therefore, it was possible to accomplisheasily the objective of oral health education which is changes in knowledge, attitude, and behavior. In addition, taking the video-making activity with the use of multimedia based information contributed to the development of learners’ creative thinking on their own. The course gavemotivation to learners and enabled learners to have professionalism as dental hygienist and achieve self-esteem.
