Review on Wall Art Around Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia

摘要

In recent years, street art was established as popular around the world. In Malaysia, the current phenomenon about street art is about the Ernst Zacharevic’s in Penang. The Lithuanian has left a unique mark on those walls. Mostly the recognition is appreciated by the foreignersand now lately by the local visitors. The Penang Municipal Council gave a commission to Zacharevic in 2012 as to develop a ‘Mirror George Town’ project. Then, since this project was successful, the city of Penang was famous with the street art rather than the Penang Bridge. Basedfrom this kind of scenario, this study will determine on how the impact of well-known street art inspired many local wall/street artists practice. Therefore this study investigated how the artists were fostered in their own creativity. Then the focus of this study is about an analysis aboutthe street art in Shah Alam and towards response among the communities in these places.
