Solvay and Strata form aerospace joint venture

Solvay of Brussels, Belgium, and Strata of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), have formalized their joint venture (JV) to supply Boeing with advanced composite materials from a facility to be built in Al Ain in the UAE. Following the signature of the JV agreement, the parties will seek anti-trust approvals. The equal-ownership JV will become the UAE's first supplier of pre-impregnated carbon fibres.
