摘要

An efficient and reproducible system of ex vitro rhizogenesis (non-sterile) has been developed for strawberries (Fragaria x ananassa Duch). Multiple shoots produced in vitro were treated as soft cuttings. The morphological and physiological status of shoots depends on type of sugar added to the medium of the final subculture. Glucose was depleted nearly completely whereas sucrose was only partly utilized. Biomass production and shoot formation were efficient in the presence of glucose. The capacityof shoots obtained from a glucose containing medium to form roots and their photosynthetic activity was higher than shoots from sucrose medium. Rockwool was an excellent substrate for rooting and further growth of strawberry plants.
