Utilization of microbial inoculants for the enhancement of some vegetables yield under protected agriculture system

摘要

Production of food and fiber is limited by low soil fertility. Three years plastic house experiment started 1998 till 2001 at El-Bosiely site, El-Behera governorate, were conducted to evaluate the effect of biofertilization on the yield of some vegetables i.e. cucumber and sweet pepper. In addition, a preliminary experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of transplanting some plants from Cruciferae family before mulching with polyethylene sheets for six weeks in the summer of 2002 in elimination of the soil-borne pathogens and plant parasitic nematodes.
