Chemical footprinting helps meet product safety objectives, companies say

Measuring a company’s use of chemicals and work to move to safer substances – known as chemical footprinting – is challenging and takes time but helps organisations achieve their product safety objectives, businesses have said at a recent NGO-led meeting. Companies participating in the Chemical Footprint Project, an initiative run by US NGO Clean Production Action, shared their experiences at the 15th Annual BizNGO meeting, held virtually on 8-9 December. BizNGO is a collaboration between NGOs and businesses to "accelerate the transition to a safer, healthy economy".
