Building pressurisation is a topic that seems to 'catch' consultants and contractors sort of by surprise when it rears its ugly head in the form of onesortof a problem oranotherin a building that is just being occupied - or has been up and running for some time and it is discovered that a 'deep dark' problem has been nagging the building for some time. Problems like handicap door closers, mould and mildew, carpet staining, insufficient HVAC capacity, indoor air quality or clean-room or laboratory air quality problems, etc. We'll chat about some of the specifics with respect to actual real building problems later, but first let's take a step back and talk about the fundamentals.
