A rising concern

As the changing climate causes an increase in weather volatility, flooding across the UK is likely to become more common, putting many areas and buildings at risk. While the changing weather patterns are part of an urgent global issue, more can be done on the ground to mitigate the problem. Stakeholders at every level of the construction industry must acknowledge the growing risks posed by ageing drainage infrastructure, poor maintenance schedules and increasingly volatile weather patterns.
