摘要

Plasma is generally described as an ionised gas or as an electrically neutral medium of positive and negative particles. The term ionised refers to the presence of free electrons which are not bound to an atom or molecule. Plasma can be thought of as a 4th state of matter - after solid, liquid and gas. The state of matter can be changed by imparting enough energy on to a substrate. So when you add energy to a solid you get liquid (ie melting) and when you add energy to a gas, you get plasma.
