Winter in the world of deciduous bonsai can be a slow time of year. While there are several things we should be doing with deciduous plants, many of them don't involve the physical work we would intuitively want to apply during this season. Visually it makes sense to do a lot of our wiring and pruning now while we can clearly see the structure of our plants. However, itis horticulturally the worst time of year to apply these things to our deciduous bonsai.
