As indicators, the complex of the following indicators of the functional state of the athlete's body is monitored: heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse blood pressure in the supine and standing position, orthostatic test, respiratory rate, body weight and muscle mass, the level functional vigour of the athlete in the test with a step-by-step increasing load of the limiting and unspecified nature, the tolerance of the dynamic load according to the Ruffier test, results of stabilometry with biological feedback, dynamometry results. Biochemical indices are also studied: blood levels of cortisol, free testosterone, dehydrotestosterone, sugar, insulin, creatinine, ALT, ACT, CK, hemoglobin, hematocrit, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus. Take into account the results of psychological research on the tests of Lusher and SUN, assess the quality of sleep, self-evaluation of individual experience in competitive activities. Monitoring of a set of the listed indicators is carried out daily. Moreover, the initial values of the athlete's performance indicators are the results of monitoring the listed indicators during prelaunch training two days before the flight to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Method provides the conditions for an operative correction of the training process and timely correction of the chronobiological and climatogeographic adaptation of Russian highly skilled athletes due to the consideration of a number of indicators, most accurately reflecting the onset of the phase of stable chronobiological and climatogeographic adaptation. Further daily monitoring of these indicators is carried out in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, performing training for at least 10–12 days after the flight to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and supporting the training load regime, which ensures stabilization at the initial values of at least half of the listed indicators. Two days before the flight to Pyeongchang, the training load regime is selected so that at least 80 % of the listed indicators are stabilized at baseline values. After the flight to Pyeongchang, the final stage of the athlete's training is carried out for not less than 5 days, provided that at least 50 % of the listed indicators stabilize at the initial values, maintaining the training load regime and providing such a duration before the Olympic start, so that not less than two days before the start, all listed indicators were stabilized at their initial values.
