Effective and affordable solutions for manure recycling are becoming increasingly crucial to improve the farming system's sustainability in the frame of a circular economy and the climate emergency,as declared by the EU.Such solutions can increase the nutrient use efficiency and reduce the environmental impacts,such as ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions,and nitrates leaching from soil to water.The aim of Saveco's study was to develop a circular solution for carbon and nutrient management based on two practices: microfiltered digestate/slurry to drip lines fertigation to increase nutrient use efficiency and reduce emissions,coupled with conservation tillage to maintain organic matter and recycle nutrients.
