HOUSTON (ICIS)--US spot ethylene margins based on ethane fell for a fourth year in a row in 2017 as the gap between them and those based on naphtha tightened to their narrowest divide since 2011, the ICIS margin report showed on Wednesday. The average spot ethylene margin based on ethane feedstock for 2017 was 18.72 cents/lb ($413/tonne), down by 2.0% from 19.10 cents/lb the year prior.
