Despite an eight per cent increase in fish landing, Kerala was pushed to the fourth position for the first time in the annual estimates on fish landing prepared by the Kochi-based Central Marine Fisheries Institute (CMFRI). India’s marine fish catch registered a slight increase of 6.6 per cent during 2016 compared to the previous year.
