KUALA LUMPUR (ICIS)--Lotte Chemical’s $3bn joint venture ethane cracker complex in the US is on track to start commercial production at the start of 2019, a company executive said on Monday. The 1m tonne/year ethane cracker and 760,000 tonnes/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) facility being built at the site in Lake Charles, Louisiana, are now “92-93% complete”, said Cheong Peng Khuan, senior vice president of human resources and procurement at Lotte Chemical Titan.
