FPCC to halt base oils supply to China in Sept on lack of inventory

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) has no plan of supplying Group II base oils to mainland China in September due to longer-than-expected turnaround and lack of inventory, a company source said on Friday. The company shut its 600,000 tonne/year Group II base oils unit at Mailiao on 9 July, and is expected to restart the unit around 20 September.
