India to formalize relocation of $44bn refinery petchem project in August

MUMBAI (ICIS)--India’s Maharashtra state is expected to formally announce the relocation of the $44bn Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (RRPCL) project in August, an official in the state government said on Friday. The project will be moved to the Raigad district – still in Maharashtra but to the north of Ratnagiri –identified as the possible new location, according to the government official.
