Crude pares gains on US stock data

LONDON (ICIS)--NYMEX crude oil futures fell by around 20 cents/bbl on Wednesday, eroding earlier gains, despite this week’s US stock figures showing a larger draw on crude than forecast, but this was countered by an unexpected build on gasoline. July NYMEX light sweet crude futures fell from around $49.40/bbl before the figures from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) were published to around $49.20/bbl, a gain of 58 cents/bbl from Tuesday’s close.
