Thailand’s SCG Q4 net profit grows 29% on strong chems earnings

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Siam Cement Group posted a fourth-quarter net profit of Thai baht (Bt) 11.5bn, up 29% year on year, backed by strong earnings from its chemicals business, the Thai conglomerate said late on Wednesday. Sales for the three months to December 2015 fell 10% year on year to Bt105.6bn because of lower crude prices, the company said in a filing to the Thailand Stock Exchange.
