China petchem output in Ningbo to decline ahead of G20 summit

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petrochemical plants in and around Ningbo City in Zhejiang province will have to shut down or cut production by half, two weeks ahead of the September G20 summit in China, industry sources said on Friday. These measures were meant to improve the air quality before and during the summit, in which leaders of the G20 (Group of 20) member countries will convene in Hangzhou City on 4-5 September to discuss a host of issues facing the global economy, including climate change.
