Effect of sintering temperature on elastic behaviour of lithium ferrites

The ultrasonic compressional V_l and shear V_s wave velocities of lithium ferrite sintered at different temperatures have been measured at room temperature using an ultrasonic pulse transmission technique. The elastic moduli of the specimens have been computed and corrected to zero porosity. The variation of elastic moduli with sintering temperature is interpreted here in terms of the binding forces between the atoms.
