(S074)Production Practice of Improving Cleanliness of Molten Steel in Tundish

摘要

As the tundish is full of air before casting, the molten steel of the first heat in tundish will cause theoxidation of molten steel and increase the oxygen and nitrogen content in molten steel, resulting in theoccurrence of bubble defects in continuous casting slabs. In the present paper, the blowing argon technologyis applied in the tundish before casting, wihch effectively prevent the oxidation of molten steel in the firstfurnace and improve the quality of slab.
