CONTINUOUS CASTING TUNDISH GATE FOR CASTING MOLTEN STEEL HAVING HIGH CLEANLINESS

PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of a hard alumina phase and spinel phase which adversely affect the working surface of the continuous casting tundish gate for casting an Si-deoxidized molten steel by specifying the content of Al2O3 in the part on contact with the molten steel. CONSTITUTION:The content of the A=2O3 in the part of the continuous casting tundish gate for casting the Si-deoxidized molten steel contg. =0.002% Sol.Al where the tundish gate comes into contact with the molten steel is confined to =4wt.%. The disconnection troubles during drawing are decreased in this way and the fatigue limit is improved; further, the machinability is improved as well.
