First Minister helps raise more than ￡20,000 at golf tournament

Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond helped raise more than ￡20,000 for CLAN (Cancer Link Aberdeen and North) and Insch Golf Club as he took part in the 2nd Acergy young professional Pro-Am golf tournament. In the idyllic grounds of Insch Golf Club, Aberdeenshire, 29 teams were aiming for the top spot which the First Minister secured at last year's event. Hoping to retain his title, he teed off the 2008 tournament as part of the Acergy team, however after a good start, unfortunately didn't make the top three places.
