Johns Manville and Comat win AVK-TV Industry Innovation Award 2005

The AVK-TV Industry Innovation Award 2005 was presented to Johns Manville and Comat in September for their groundbreaking efforts to develop thermoplastic tension belts for the commercial vehicle industry.This innovative new product is currently in OEM testing and will soon be commercialised.The tension belts developed by Comat are based on a thermoplastic resin and fibre glass composite produced in a unique pultrusion process.Partnering with Comat,Johns Manville designed glass roving StarRov? 473A,with excellent PP-matrix-integration and outstanding mechanical strength properties.
