Mexico’s automobile production, exports reach historical high in January

Mexico’s automotive industry, one of the key steel consuming sectors, continued to improve in January showing newrecord highs in production and exports.Despite the impact that was registered in some plants by the blockades of the railroad, January auto production roseby 4.1% to 303,755 units year-on-year, which is a historical high for the month of January, according to the MexicanAssociation of the Automotive Industry (AMIA) report.
