Perfect Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes Made in Bulk

摘要

A university research team has developed a bulk synthesis method for single-walled carbon nanotubes,or SWCNTs,with a perfect carbon structure.The breakthrough is a world's first and offers strong prospects for commercial application.The team,led by Prof.Kazuyuki Tohji of Tohoku University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies and Prof.Katsuyuki Fukutani of the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science,will continue to work on improving production efficiency and reducing the cost of the process.
