The country has implemented a new oil stock ticketing system for its strategic petroleum reserve (SPR) in order to return to compliance with the IEA's 90-day oil stockholding requirement. The Department of Environment and Energy said it was running a procurement process to consistency hold up to 400K mt (2.9MM bbl) of oil tickets for the government from Oct. 1, 2018 to June 30, 2020.
