Given die rising trade tensions between the US and other nations five countries in Northeast Asia (China, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, and South Korea) are seeking greater energy trade cooperation to combat these trade concerns. The countries have signed a wide range of agreements on hydrocarbons production and supply, and are pushing for faster development of energy supply infrastructure along with an increase in non-dollar denominated trade.
