Iran plans to expand PC industry for exports despite US sanctions

In light of US sanctions,the Middle Eastern country's foreign currency income has been supported by its PC exports,according to Iranian oil minister Bijan Zanganeh.After the US ceased issuing waivers for Iranian oil in May,the country's oil production and resultant exports have dropped significantly.According to an OPEC survey by Platts,Iranian oil output was at 2.3MM b/d in Aug.,compared to 3.8MM b/d during June 2017.As a result,Iran plans to double the investment in its PC industry to offset losses in oil revenue.
