In less than two years time, the Islamic Republic expects to triple the amount of gas condensate it exports from the current 450K b/d to 1.2MM b/d as the country looks to attract foreign investors to help it further develop the South Pars gas field which holds 14 trillion m~3 (494 trillion cf) of gas and 18B bbl of NGL, and is where a majority of its condensate exports are stored. Currently, the country exports all of its condensate from the soudiern port of Asalouyeh, but export capacity is being expanded via the construction of new facilities near Kangan in Bushehr Province, south Iran. For the previous Iranian calendar year that ended March 2013, Iran exported 12MM mt of various gas condensates worth $9.119B. The volume exported was 16% higher than the previous year while the value of these exports was 43% higher. The exports were moved to various countries including Belgium, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, and Taiwan.
